curator, writer, researcher

I acted as assistant curator for the exhibition "Is it alive?" from February-October 2023 as part of my traineeship at the TextielMuseum in Tilburg, together with the curator and head of collections Sjouk Hoitsma.
The exhibition, open from October 2023-April 2024, included custom installations by Studio Drift, Philip Beesley, Tanja Smeets, and Bart Hess, and a dress by Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen.
I assisted in research and text writing for the exhibition, and in the coordination of the installation 'Poetic Veil Tilburg' by Philip Beesley, which incorporates the dress by Iris van Herpen and was developed in collaboration with TU Delft. I was also responsible for a room in the exhibition which described the making process of each installation, selecting objects, coordinating loans, writing texts, video production, and coordination of volunteers during installation.
